雪景色 / a snow scene

誰かに見せたい情景には　いつも

あの人はいない

The scenery I would like to show somebody.

You are not in there, always.

舞台を照らすたったひとつの明かり

子供と大人

男と女

夫と妻

父と母

踊り子達の演じる役ではなく

ずっとあの明かりを見ていたかった

木漏れ日

ここは　冷たく　彩りもないところだけど

あなたのことを　どこよりも眩しく感じられる

朝霧

朝霧が希望を感じさせるのは

ここではない　どこかがあると

私達の行く先を　程よく隠してくれるから

朝日の運ぶもの

私達は

一日一日　朝を迎えて

ひとつずつ　夢に近づいていくのだと

あの人が教えてくれた

湖畔の人

あなたが探しているものと

私が探しているものは

　きっと同じだから

いつまでも

あなたの行く先を

見守っていたいと思う

異国の寺院にて

ここに安らぎを感じるのは

あなたの中にも　同じものを見つけたから

遠望

遠く離れた　あなたを思うことと

あの山の頂を望むことは　どこか似ている

どちらも手に　届かないけれど

少しだけ　世界が広くなった気がする

どこか遠くへ

ただそれだけの思いで辿り着いた

君と一緒に見たい景色があるように

君とは一緒に見られない景色があるんだ

ダウンヒル / Downhill

上った坂と　下った坂の数は　同じはずなのに

ダウンヒルは　いつも　長く　刺激的

だから

今の君の痛みは　無駄じゃない

Although, the number of uphills and downhills you passed may be the same.

The downhills are always exciting and lasting long.

So,

Your pain you feel now will prove of use someday.

ヒグラシ / an evening cicada; Tanna japonensis

ヒグラシの鳴く夏の日の夕暮れ

泣きそうになる僕を

不思議そうに見上げる

君たち

この気持ちがわかる頃

きっとここにはいないだろう

最短距離 / The shortest route

順路どおりに歩かなくては気が済まない僕を

いつも笑いながら追い越していった君

もし僕があのとき，もっと君への最短距離を選んでいたのなら

ちゃんと思いを，伝えることができたのかな

I was always  strictly walking along the route.

You were always smiling and leaving me behind.

If I chose the shortest route to you then,

I could carry my thought to you.

片開きの窓 / A single swinging window

君の心の一番眺めの良いところにある

君にしか開けられない

A single swinging window,

only you can open it,

in your heart with best view.

補色 / complementary colors

君と僕とは補色の関係

最も遠い存在だからこそ　惹かれあい　傷つけてしまった

あれからずいぶん時が過ぎて

お互いの距離を楽しめるくらい　大人になった僕たちだけれども

またいつか君の心のさざ波を見つけられるのではないかと

いまでも淡い期待を持って僕は海を眺めている

We are in the relation of complementary colors.

We loved each other, we hurt each other,  because we are the farthest beings.

Several years have passed since then.

Although we have grown up like that we could enjoy the distance between us,

Still I am looking the sea expecting to find rippling waves in your heart.  

昇りはじめの太陽 / The Sun beginning to rise

君がくれた希望のひとかけらは　どこか昇りはじめの太陽に似て

眩し過ぎず　近過ぎず

目覚めたばかりの僕でも　いつまでも見つめていることができた

The piece of a hope you gave me was something similar to the sun beginning to rise.

Not too bright, not too close,

I could look into them forever even if it was immediately on awakening.

人生という劇場 / A theater of life

人生という劇場において主役を演じたいのなら

まずはじめに観客であるのをやめること

ステージの幕があがるのを待ち続けるのではなく

立上がり，振り返ってみること

If you want to play a leading role in the theater of life,

you should stop being a spectator first.

Not waiting for the curtain rise,

Stand up and look around.

照りつける夏の太陽を遮り

青い空だけを届けてあげられれば

雨あがりの空に / In the sky after a rain

明日，雨があがったら　僕と一緒に空を見よう

手が届きそうな流れ雲と　遥か遠い鱗雲

目の前の現実と　夢想する未来

風の強い嵐のあとは　空の広さにはっとさせられるから

Let's see the sky, when the rain is gone tomorrow.

The nearly touchable floating clouds and fleecy clouds in distance.

The facing reality and dreaming future.

We may be startled for the wideness of a sky after the windy storm.

歩いて行けばいい

Along your mind.

夢のただ中 / In the midst of a dream

夢を捉えたいのなら

To get your dream,

夢と同じ速度で動き続けることだ

Keep moving with your dream,

夢のただ中で

being in the midst of your dream.

不思議の国への入口 / Gate to the wonderland

僕たちは大人になりすぎてしまったのかもしれない

We might have been overgrown,

不思議の国への入口

Gate to the wonderland,

くぐってみれば良かったのに

We should try it.

来年の約束 / A promise for the next year

「また来ようね」

そんな何気ない来年の約束を交わせられる幸せ

a happiness that we can make such a careless promise for the next year.
